2021 Winter Community Service Event
ABPsi Detroit partnered with Black Family Development, Inc. to support a local family for the 2021 holidays. Black Family Development, Inc. (BFDI) is a private, non-profit comprehensive family counseling agency that was created in 1978 by the Detroit Chapter of the National Association of Black Social Workers (NABSW).
The mission of Black Family Development, Inc. aligns with ABPsi Detroit's mission to positively contribute to the well-being and mental health of the larger Black community. ABPsi Detroit members donated over $1000 worth of winter clothing and gifts for this fundraiser. Every member of the family was given a coat, sweater, hat, gloves, scarf, socks, face masks, hand sanitizer, and multiple stocking stuffers.
ABPsi Detroit would like to thank Kenyatta Stephens, Chief Executive Officer and Kevin Bryant, MBK Detroit Impact Community Leader of Black Family Development, Inc for their collaboration on this community event.
