Background

Dr. Nia Billings is a licensed clinical psychologist who works as a Rehabilitation Psychologist on an inpatient physical rehabilitation unit. Dr. Billings enjoys teaching and mentoring students and psychology trainees. She has clinical interests in helping patients overcome challenges they face after injury or illness including brain injury, stroke, spinal cord injury, multisystem traumatic injuries, and neurodegenerative disorders. Her research interests focus on how brain injury and physical illness affect emotions, cognitive functions, and behavior, particularly among diverse and marginalized populations with the goal of reducing health disparities. She also has research interest in implicit processes and psychological assessment.
