Different Membership Levels

Professional Members include individuals who hold a Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychology. Professional members work in the field of psychology and have completed at least two years of graduate work in psychology from a recognized graduate school.

Affiliate Members include mental health providers and other professionals who do not have a degree in psychology, but wish to be an affiliate due to common interests and goals that align with ABPsi.

Student Members include undergraduate and graduate psychology students. Students may hold or be working on a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and/or one of the other Behavioral Sciences.
*Student members are not eligible for President or Vice-President roles.
Benefits
ABPsi Detroit Members have a wide variety of psychological interests, professions, and educational backgrounds. Our members include students and professionals who work in a variety of settings including private practice, colleges and universities, hospitals, academic medical centers, and business consulting.
Our professional members include both master and doctoral-level psychologists from a broad range of psychology disciplines, including Clinical and Counseling Psychology, Community Psychology, Educational Psychology, Experimental Psychology, Forensic Psychology, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Social Psychology, and more. We welcome and offer mentorship to student members including high school students, undergraduates, and graduate students who have an interest in psychology.
