Different Membership Levels 

  • Professional Members include individuals who hold a Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychology. Professional members work in the field of psychology and have completed at least two years of graduate work in psychology from a recognized graduate school.

  • Affiliate Members include mental health providers and other professionals who do not have a degree in psychology, but wish to be an affiliate due to common interests and goals that align with ABPsi.

  • Student Members include undergraduate and graduate psychology students. Students may hold or be working on a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and/or one of the other Behavioral Sciences.

*Student members are not eligible for President or Vice-President roles.


ABPsi Detroit Members have a wide variety of psychological interests, professions, and educational backgrounds. Our members include students and professionals who work in a variety of settings including private practice, colleges and universities, hospitals, academic medical centers, and business consulting.

Our professional members include both master and doctoral-level psychologists from a broad range of psychology disciplines, including Clinical and Counseling Psychology, Community Psychology, Educational Psychology, Experimental Psychology, Forensic Psychology, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Social Psychology, and more. We welcome and offer mentorship to student members including high school students, undergraduates, and graduate students who have an interest in psychology.
